The disinfection method of ceramic tableware needs to take into account both safety and effectiveness, and the following are common methods and key points of operation:
1. High temperature disinfection method (the most commonly used and efficient)
Sterilize by boiling
Operation: Submerge the tableware in cold water, boil the water and cook for 5-10 minutes (suitable for underglaze / plain tableware, avoid boiling for a long time to prevent damage to the pigment).
Note: Do not cook broken utensils to avoid bacterial residue in the cracks.
Steam sterilization
Tools: steamer, steam sterilizer, or microwave oven (with steam function).
Operation: When the steam temperature reaches 100°C, sterilize for 10-15 minutes to ensure that the cutlery is not stacked and that the steam is fully contacted.
Sterilize the oven
Applicable scene: high-temperature resistant ceramics (marked "oven-ready").
Operation: Preheat the oven to 120°C, dry the utensils and place them for 15-20 minutes, then remove after cooling (avoid quenching and cracking).
2. Chemical disinfection method (emergency or inconvenient high temperature)
Soak in chlorine-containing disinfectant
Ratio: 1 liter of water 5-10 ml of chlorine-containing disinfectant solution (e.g. 84 disinfectant), stir and soak the dishes for 15-30 minutes.
Follow-up treatment: Rinse thoroughly with clean water 3-5 times to avoid chemical residues.
White vinegar sterilization
Operation: Water Appropriate amount of white vinegar (ratio 10:1), boil and soak the dishes for 5 minutes to soften limescale and inhibit bacteria.
3. Ultraviolet disinfection (auxiliary mode)
Tools: UV sterilizer or dishwasher with UV function.
Operation: Wipe the dishes dry and put them in, turn on the UV irradiation for 30 minutes (make sure that the UV rays are fully covered and there are no dead spots).
4. Dishwasher disinfection (both cleaning and disinfection)
Conditions: The dishwasher must be equipped with a "high temperature sterilization" mode (water temperature ≥ 70°C) and a washing time of ≥ 30 minutes, which can be cleaned and sterilized at the same time.
